WHAT TO EXPECT –
LET’S CONNECT
This is where our friendship starts, first you’ll send your initial inquiry. Following that we’ll meet over coffee or video chat and discuss all things wedding related! This is when I really get to meet you two, and where you’ll tell me what your hopes are for your wedding day; you’ll show me any ideas and inspirations you love and from there I make sure you feel confident and comfortable in our relationship. Knowing that we’re a good fit for one another is so important, you’ve gotta be confident in your photographer!
LOCATION
Once we narrow down a date, the location is next on our list. I am always open to travel, but most of my shoots take place within the Central Michigan/ Mount Pleasant area.
WARDROBE STYLING
Helping with outfit styling is sort of my jam! I always recommend making sure that your outfits compliment each other, of course you want to match but don’t match exactly- this just makes everything seem like those awkward family photos from 2005 where everyone wore the same exact thing. When wearing pieces that compliment each other, it makes everything flow so much better. For clients who are unsure of what to wear or where to get outfits, I have a whole list of recommendations. I also have options for gown rentals for expecting mothers. Its always fun to get dressed up, but being able to wear these amazing couture gowns brings it to a whole new level.
THE SESSION
Sessions with me usually consist of lots of laughter, some bad jokes, and an overall enjoyable experience. My approach to photography includes the use of lots of prompts to evoke raw emotion, I may have one of you whisper some things in each others ear, like “go ahead and whisper your favorite cereal in your sexiest voice in her ear.” Does it sound weird? Yes. Will it make you laugh? 95% of the time, it sounds odd but it works and through the use of little prompts and actions we can stray away from the normal every day posing and create more natural and comfortable photographs. No awkward photos here!
DELIVERY
For a typical portrait session with me, you’ll see your images within 2-3 weeks, often much faster but this is the standard time I give out during my busy season. As a full time photographer, I am able to focus on sessions and get them done in a timely fashion which means you’re able to enjoy your images much sooner than with other photographers.
KEEPSAKES
Almost of my sessions include digital images and a viewing gallery unless otherwise specified. Along with that, every viewing gallery includes its own storefront where you may choose to purchase keepsakes like albums, usb drives, cd’s, print products and wall art. These services are readily available to my clients, and I am there to assist every step of the way.
CHERISHED MEMORIES
One of my favorite quotes is, “One day, all your children will have is pictures of you. Make sure you’re in them. No matter what your hair looks like, your makeup, or your body, they wont care about any of that, they’ll just want to see you.” In 10, 20, or even 50 years from now you’ll cherish those memories you were able to capture, freezing those memories in time is simply magical, its amazing being able to look back at how little your babies were or how young your love once was. What’s even more amazing is building on it, making a point to have photos scheduled every year is amazing, as you can see your journey and showcase those memories forever.
